Playground Equipment Specifically Designed for Elementary Kids

Elementary School Playground Equipment Utah

Choosing a new school playground equipment design for Franklin Elementary in Salt Lake City was easy because last year installed one of our favorite playgrounds at the school. With this new playground, we carried over the fun tan and green wooded theme to the new play area with the Playcaft Revolution™ play system.

The play structure, designed for kids ages 5 to 12, has an abundance of exciting dual racing activities cloaking the fact that children are actually getting an excellent physical workout and creates a challenge for all the Ninja Warriors in the school.

A Ninja Warrior Challenge

The race begins at the duplicated Ring Traverse directly onto two Mini Neutron Spinners and straight onto the Curved Erector Rocks and Chain Climber.

The climbing action continues into the popular Erector Rocks U-shaped layout with a variety of climbing options. Erector Rocks have super tough coated grips but are gentle on kiddo’s hands and feet while standing up to the abusive use of school play equipment.

Next, students are challenged by a new version of “monkey bars” with hand-over-hand action on the S-Shaped Horizontal Ladders and onto the tricky Tri-Step Traverse.

The race continues when they hop on the Tri-Pad which breaks way to the 360 degree Horizontal Ladder (think circular monkey bars) and access to the kid-favorite Orbit Wheels:

Bold, Vidid Colors for Shelley Elementary School Playground Equipment

logo

Bold, vividly colored Utah school playground equipment was a perfect addition to the existing playground equipment for the Shelley Elementary Explorers in American Fork, Utah. The bright “John Deere” yellow and green completed the color combination used in the school logo.

From start to finish, the school kids were a big part of the building process. The LuckyDog crew braved some tough fall weather so the Explorers could go on to search and discover loads of fun.

“I can tell you as a teacher that the playground installation has been a wonderful experience for our students!  I had kindergarteners asking the workers great questions about the construction process and about the machines they used.  The crew stopped and took the time to answer the kids.  You guys are amazing and I’m so proud to be part of our school community.”

Shelley’s PlayCraft™ Systems play equipment includes three bright yellow slides: a dual express slide, plus kid favorites, the spiral slide, and wave slide.

The spiral step climber opposite of the deep rung arch climber gives access to the short arch bridge and onto the horizontal ladder, a twist on the classic monkey bar design.

A nice yellow lily pad seat and open store panel below the wave slide allows for imaginative free play.

Launching New Playground Equipment at Utah Charter School

The new Utah playground equipment for Salt Lake City charter school is all set to launch.

3…2…1… LAUNCHING 2 NEW PLAY AREAS at Wallace Stegner Charter School

The crew just finished up crafting TWO wonderful playground areas at the new Wallace Stegner Academy. LuckyDog Recreation works hard so kids can play hard on top-quality Utah commercial playground equipment.

Command Central

Incorporating imaginative play as well as kinesthetic play goes hand in hand with the Wallace Stegner Academy approach of capitalizing on children’s natural curiosity. Easily accomplished throughout the Playcraft Systems “Club House” with various activity panels. The younger children are able to relay secrets through the “Talk Tube,” give their order at the “Store Panel” and ring the bell when the order is ready for liftoff.

An All-American Elementary School Playground for Kings Peak

Designing a Utah elementary school playground that fits a school budget and still packs a lot of play into a small space takes some real planning. But with the help of Playcraft™ Systems we designed a fun, imaginative playground for the kids of Kings Peak Elementary in Roosevelt.

Under general contractor Westland Construction of Orem, Utah, the LuckyDog construction crew installed a stellar ALL-AMERICAN playground that includes 4 swings, 3 slides, a snake climber, and one Kings Peak “Boulder Stack Climber.”

An Elementary School Playground as American as Apple Pie

When Duchesne School District requested designs for new playground equipment, a decision on equipment color was easy: a red, white and blue “All-American” theme. A picture-perfect playground for America’s Independence Day every year!

This crisp colored PlayCraft™ structure holds a ton of activities that children ages 2 to 12 love to play on.  Maybe the kids can find an apple pie at the “Store Panel,” keeping an eye out for fireworks as they look through the “Telescope,” and parade across the “Arch Bridge” – all while under the bright red arched canopies.

4 New West Jordan, Utah Park Playgrounds With Pizzaz

Excellent planning has made it possible for 4 new Utah park playgrounds in West Jordan.

West Jordan, Utah is located in one of Salt Lake County’s fastest growing areas, creating expansion of new subdivisions. Smart planning has provided open space and park playgrounds set within those subdivisions.

Just in time for summer play, LuckyDog Recreation just completed the park playgrounds in 4 of those subdivisions. I had the opportunity to do the final walk through with Dave Naylor, West Jordan Assistant Parks Director:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feDEVP9MP8k

Building a playground is kind of like building a dream. You have a vision but you’re not really sure how to go about making that happen. That’s what we’re about. Every park playground is designed with the play space in mind, making every playground unique and inviting.

“My experience with LuckyDog’s been really good. We were able to put out three RFQs (requests for quotes) for twenty three park upgrades, through the process LuckyDog’s been involved in all of them. We’re just finishing up today, and it’s great.

“Everything’s just been very professionally handled, and you know Curtis and Nicole have been great to work with.”  Dave Naylor

I invite you to check out the 4 new Utah park playgrounds for your self:

Although the Playcraft™ Disc Swing is an absolute blast, my favorite feature at the Brigadoon and Handcart park is the electronic Seek Panel:

Fun Utah Park Playgrounds by Playcraft and LuckyDog Recreation

“What better way to spice up a playground than by introducing a fun and challenging seek game with your own site-specific symbols?

‘Whether it’s your logo, your mascot, or symbols specific to your location, we can take your ideas and custom design a unique seek panel for you!
Seek Panel Action – Give the arrow a spin! When it stops, the symbol closest to the arrow is the one you seek on the playground. Symbols can be installed on virtually any vertical post, above decks or at ground level.

‘With the proper tools, it is easy to detach and reinstall the symbols in new locations to keep the seek game fresh and challenging. The Playcraft Seek Panel will have kids running about seeking symbols all over your play area!
‘Ideal for ADA compliant play areas when installed at ground level on an accessible path with appropriate surfacing material.”  Playcraft Systems™

A lot of our customers buy park playgrounds again and again and again, and it’s so satisfying to know that they can call us year after year after year and get the same exceptional service and the same exceptional equipment.

We love what we do, and we invite you to call us any time.

New Commercial Playground Equipment for Sandy, Utah Park

Sandy, Utah park, Storm Mountain, got an exciting fresh new look for Spring, 2016. The Utah commercial playground equipment has a nature theme we have installed several times before (and LOVE). The natural colors are greens, brown and tan, perfect for blending in with the large mature trees already in the park.

Utah Commercial Playground Equipment installed at Storm Mountain Park in Sandy, Utah

LuckyDog was privileged to be selected in a round of proposals to supply and install new equipment at the Sandy, Utah park. The removal of the old playground equipment and the new installation of the NEW Playcraft commercial playground equipment now makes this a family destination park.

This cozy, quiet neighborhood park has many amenities including a jogging path, 2 tennis courts, a big outdoor pavilion with tables (set close to the new playground), and a large utility field for softball and other outdoor sports.

Storm Mountain Park in Sandy, Utah - Utah commercial playground equipment.

As always, we worked with Playcraft Systems™ to create a commercial playground that fits the space and packs in as much diversity as possible. The play equipment has something for every age, doesn’t segregate the 2-5 age set from the 5-12 age group, so the entire family has something to enjoy: rock climbing, rope climbing, slides, spinners and of course swings.

The LuckyDog crew finished the playground with wood chip surfacing, which was perfect for the rustic “in the the woods” playground theme.

As cities like Sandy, Utah grow in population, the need for play areas becomes more and more important. Parks not only create open space but provide a play space close to home that many families may not have otherwise. Utah Commercial Playgroud Equipment Plans by LuckDog Recreationa and Playcraft Systems

Busy Bee’s Playhouse Day Care and School in Roy, Utah boasts 3 bright Playcraft Playgrounds.

We were thrilled to get the contract for Busy Bee’s Day Care and School playgrounds. It is not often that we find a company dedicated to kids and seniors alike. Or a company willing to build a playground specific to 3 different age groups.

UNIQUE SETTING

Heritage Park Care Center and Busy Bee’s Day Care and School have integrated to create a unique facility, the first of it’s kind for Dove Covenant. Both businesses are located on the same property creating a healthy blend of young and old.

LuckyDog Recreation is also unique. We take you from concept to construction. In other words we are a full service company. We help you choose the perfect playground, design it for you and then build it. Also, we are the exclusive reps for Playcraft Playground Systems in Utah and Idaho.

Busy Bee’s Day Care and School Opens 3 New Playgrounds

The open-house for Busy Bee’s Day Care playgrounds in Roy, Utah is over and years of play have just begun on three unique PlayCraft playground systems.

The Busy Bee’s Playhouse grand opening for the playgrounds was attended by well over 500 people, children and their accompanying grown-ups. It was phenomenal sight to see, you can read the Standard Examiner’s news article here.

Although all the hoopla of the grand opening event has calmed, there is still a “Busy Bee Buzz” at the child care center. Teachers report they can’t get the children off the new playground equipment when play time is over.

Well, we at LuckyDog love hearing that kind of news, so we think it’s only fair to share with you what all the excitement is about.

There are three distinct play areas designated by age; Toddler, ages 12 months to 2 years, Pre-school, ages 2-5 years and School-age, from 5-12 years old.

The Toddler Playground area is fully shaded with a large fabric shade. There is an interactive play house, clubhouse, and an age appropriate playground structure for little ones 12 months to 2 years.

Playcraft Playground Slide for Toddlers at Busy Bee's Day Care in Roy, Utah

The Pre-School Playground has a full Playcraft playground structure with age appropriate elements like the with a one-piece spiral slide so tender bottoms won’t hit the slide bumps. In addition to the structure there’s a sand and water table.

A custom electronic driver panel, pretend gas pump and traffic signs, all surrounded by an awesome trike-track. To round it all up, fun directional signage was painted on the newly formed concrete pad. All in all, the preschoolers at Busy Bee’s are very busy checking out all their new toys.

School Age Playground boasts a full PlayCraft system that fills the entire courtyard. I just love the Boogie Board, a PlayCraft exclusive, because it challenges balance and promotes group play; the kids race around and in circles.

best roller

Boogie Board

I also love the spiral step climber. It runs the entire height of the playground for a super eye-foot coordination challenge. The Spin-Max-Tower is another PlayCraft favorite, kids love dizzy-making and this toy is perfect for a boat-load of children to play all at the same time.

climbing sails

Spin-Max-Tower

Spin-Max-Tower

All equipment is bright and colorful; the fabric shades on each of the three play areas are different colors. The School Age play area has two fabric Shade-Sails that tower taller than the building, when you’re on the highway approaching the Busy Bee’s Playhouse your eye is drawn to them.

It makes me wonder if enrollment has increased, ha, ha, because there’s not a kid out there that wouldn’t want to play at Busy Bee’s.

Busy Bee’s child care and schools are in a very unique setting. Dove Covenant owns Heritage Park Care Center for skilled nursing and rehabilitation services at the same location. Busy Bee’s is the “only” Childcare Facility owned and operated by Dove Covenant. This makes for a very nice mix of young and old on the same property.

Weighing in on what the children think of their new playground is always fun. However, Covenant Dove, the owners that hired LuckyDog for the project also get to weighed in on what they think of their new playground:

“I have been receiving updates from Kevin, Facilities Coordinator and Phil, Director of Heritage Park Care Center, along the way and they are both thrilled with the end results.

“I commend CJ for all the hard work and devotion he put into this project. You two make a great team and I am so glad you were selected for this project.”   Andy Shafer, Director of Construction

Thank you CJ and your fantastic crew for the excellent, top notch care and attention to detail. I agree with Andy, you are to be commended. I’m a LuckyDog to get to work with such a great team.

Playground for Franklin Elementary School, Salt Lake City, Utah

Franklin Elementary school playground equipment, located in Salt Lake City School District, is another example of the fantastic playground design LuckyDog Recreation creates with the PlayCraft Systems™ equipment line.

School Playground Equipment Utah - LuckyDog Recreation

This nature themed elementary school playground structure was designed specifically for the kindergarten area. The playground equipment and the coordinating pour-in-place safety surfacing fits right in with the surrounding design of the school and privacy fence.

The equipment offers both active play and quiet play areas, maximizing the space available; not an inch or space was left unutilized.

This is the perfect school playground equipment for active engagement. The structure includes several climbing activities and sliding activity plus fun balancing and rocking activities.

In addition to active imagination free play, there is a seating area for quiet play.

Kids love the balance beam alligator! You will find that it does not take long for them to name their new friend.

We are proud of the work we do. This was a turnkey project, the LuckyDog Recreation construction team removed and disposed of the old equipment, supplied and installed the new equipment and prepared the site (compacted road base) for the pour-in-place surfacing.
